About
Hi everyone, I’m Alix Hietala!
I have been an infant, toddler, and preschool teacher in CT and MA since 2017. I joined the Billy Dalwin Preschool family in the fall of 2025.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus in developmental psychology from Clark University in 2023.
Some of my favorite activities at school are art and sensory play, but I am truly the happiest when we get to learn by getting messy!
My teaching philosophy aims to create a safe space for developing independence, confidence, and kindness through age-appropriate activities.
In my free time, I love to paint, sew, and bake yummy treats! I also care for two cats, Harry and Pippin, and a freshwater aquarium.
