About

With 32 years in education, I have dedicated my career to nurturing children's discovery, creativity, and dramatic play. From my roles as a teacher, director, and social media director, I have always found great joy in watching young minds explore the world around them. I believe that art, creativity, and play are essential avenues for children to express themselves and make sense of their environment.

At the core of my philosophy is a deep belief in the importance of varied family structures and community. My sociological background has shaped my view that education is part of the human fabric—a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of each child and family. I strongly believe that partnerships between families and educators are crucial for creating meaningful connections and fostering a sense of belonging. This belief has guided me in creating schools that reflect the rich diversity of our world, where every child feels included and valued.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to cultivating environments where children are not just educated but also supported and nurtured as part of a larger community. I strive to ensure that every child is seen, heard, and respected, and that the foundation of learning is built on love, trust, and collaboration.

On a personal note, I have a special affection for Curious George and Kermit the Frog. Their

embodiment of curiosity, wonder, adventure, humor, and a touch of mischief resonates with me deeply. Outside of my professional life, I cherish the time I spend with my family and my beloved dog. I find peace and inspiration in the beach and the outdoors, and I love challenging

myself with word puzzles, especially cryptic crosswords, which keep me challenged!

As I continue my journey at Billy Dalwin, my primary goal is to build a strong and vibrant

community. I see the school as more than just a place of learning—it's a second home, where children can grow, explore, and become part of an extended family. My commitment is to ensure that every child at Billy Dalwin feels a deep sense of belonging and leaves with the confidence and curiosity to embrace the world.
